"I'll break you," He vowed, glaring down at me, "Just wait. I'll break you and you'll be begging for mercy."
"You can't break what's already been broken." I stated, in monotone.
Meet Tavora Robertson. She's talented, beautiful, intelligent, and clever. But she is no innocent. No. Farm from it. She's lost her parent's, her brother, her friends, her home, and herself. That is, not to mention, her personal changes coming on. In two weeks, her life took a turn and she left town for a year but now she's back. Or is she? She's not looking at the brighter things in life. She's not living in the past nor looking towards the future. She's living the present and nothing more. She's completely apathetic. She works, goes to school, and does what she's got to do.
Meet Dante Anderson. He's smart, cocky, a jock, a jerk, 'hot', a player, and a manwhore. But he has a secrets no one is to know. What if one of those secrets involves her brother? He's left town for two years but now he's back. He's been through a lot but is happy as can be. His parent's let him do pretty much what he wants when he wants; he has a 'sexy' girlfriend, great friends, awesome little sister, and is rich. He's inheriting his father's job when he graduates and is pretty much living the high life. Girls want him, boys want to be him; he's got everything a guy could want.
So what happens when these two total opposites, mind you meet? Again. Dante gets all confused; it's literally 'love-at-first-sight' in his case. But how can he love such a girl as apathetic as Tavora? One who never shows emotions? But what of Tavora? She feels the pull, too. Will she embrace it? Will she try to shrug it off? She's started live expecting nothing and just being there that she starts to falter. She starts to feel warmth again. She's starting to feel again and she doesn't know how to handle it.
What happens when things just start getting bad for Dante while Tavora is trying to remain apathetic?
