Sclera is a dragon, constantly overshadowed by the golden scales of her brother. With no fire of her own and 'the complexion of a damned icewing' she has lived her life in the skywing hatchery as an outcast, surviving on the scraps and pity of others. However when she's finally given the chance to escape the fiery shadows holding her captive and attend Jade Mountain Academy everything changes. Suddenly she has friends, allies and an irritatingly hot frenemy to help her battle her insecurities and the cruel words of others to find her true strength, locked deep within.
