But what will happen when the SMG4 he's had locked up in his basement for a month switches places with a Four from a different dimension? Now, Three has to work together with an older, redesigned Four to get him back to his home dimension. Follow the rivals' story as they break people out of prison, question their existence, meet new friends (and enemies), and maybe even fall in love.

After escaping Schmigadoon, SMG4 and SMG3 return to find answers, alongside Mario and unknowingly pursued by Mr. Puzzles. But after a mysterious fog engulfs the four of them, they find themselves trapped in a gritty musical city in the 1920's called Schmicago. Their only hopes of escape? Well, Mr. Puzzles and Mario need to find true love. SMG4 and SMG3 need to make a "happy end," whatever that is. But after a dead body turns up... things start to look to be a lot more difficult than they originally thought. Will they be able to make it out of this strange musical city before they too become victims of a mass murderer?

SMG1 and SMG2 have had it with SMG3 and SMG4's lack of teamwork, so they send the two on a retreat into the woods to help them learn to get along. But while they're on said retreat, they get lost and happen upon a strange town called Schmigadoon. Now SMG3 and SMG4 are stuck, forced to be part of a musical with their only hope of escape being one thing: True Love
