Saiba Jochiro was lost after the death of his wife and he had no passion for cooking. One day while out he encounters a boy named Izuku Yagi who ran away from home due to neglect and abuse. Saiba saw this as a sign from his wife to become better. He took the young boy into his home and he gave him a family that could love him. Izuku saw the passion that Saiba and Soma had for cooking that he gave up his dream of being a hero. He decided to become a cook and bring smiles through his food thus he became a cook.

Bell spent his whole life with his grandfather being told stories about heroes saving people and what it meant to he a hero and a man. Life was great until two great tragedies happened to him that forever changed his life. The second tragedy was a couple years later, his grandfather died while out in the mountains and they could never find his body. After that Bell left his home village and went to Orario to begin his life as an adventurer and hero, like his grandfather always told him stories about. He struggled for a long time to find a Familia, but one day he did find a goddess who took him in, regardless of how weak he was or his curse. This is the beginning of Bells journey to he a hero and adventurer along with getting revenge against the God who cursed him.
