JJ Walker found happiness in a pack of cigarettes. Enjoying college to full extent by partying and waking up in a new girl's bed every weekend. The simplicity of his smokes kept him calm and collected on the outside, while inside, his mind and heart fought the same battle it had for the past 4 years. JJ thought no one would have to know what went on inside him, until fate decided otherwise.

College freshman Byron Manson is assigned a writing project by his English Professor to write a diary for a month. It seems simple enough until he finds that writing about his life helps him get through it better. He shows a exuberant exterior while hiding his true pain in places even he can't find.
