Era corta e semplice e la sua unica concessione al piano, e lo faceva sembrare una bella ragazza che tenta di imbruttirsi per sfuggire a un corteggiatore insistente. La cosa più divertente era che John non era del tutto convinto che non avrebbe vinto la scommessa anche così, ma non era quello il punto. Almeno parte del punto risiedeva nel far soffrire Paul. "Niente da fare" disse, "Non te la caverai così. La scommessa è: io sostengo di poterti portare fuori agghindato come una ragazza senza che nessuno noti che non lo sei davvero".
