Lately in Central Command, no one has been safe. An alchemist has been running around, targeting other State Alchemist's. Edward Elric, is next on his list. And Roy Mustang knows. He's just to worried for the boy to tell him. So, he covers up the reasons for his actions with lies. But those lies didn't do a good job of protecting Ed.

When they transmuted their mother, so many years ago, Alphonse Elric blacked out. When he awoke, his brother was gone, leaving behind a terrifyingly large pool of blood. Not only did their transmutation to bring back their mother fail, but it took his older brother's life. An orphan, Al joined the military. But the thing is, Edward Elric didn't die that night. Instead, he made a bargain with Truth. He'd return to Earth, and he'd get to watch over Al, but Al would never see him again. Edward would return to Earth as Truth's 'angel', a vigilante, taking the lives of the evil. But after one close call, Ed's identity is compromised. What will the young angel-alchemist do? (No romance for Ed in this story, I believe. Maybe later on, but for now, nothing.)

I wrote this way back when I was like...twelve. I can't promise that grammatical errors won't pop up every now and then plus plot holes and not-in-characters canon characters (that's why I decided to rewrite the whole story).

The Fullmetal Alchemist is known to hold everything and keep every burden to himself. Along with that he keeps having bad dreams about the transmutation gone wrong causing him not to sleep well. He wonders often if Alphonse hates for being stuck in the suit of armor unable to do anything but won't ask him. The Flame Alchemist sees this in Edward one day in his office wanting to reach out and help but knows Ed keeps talk small with him let alone stand him. Can Roy help him get over his guilt and bad dreams? Can he get through to the small alchemist?

~~"You let that little brat escape?"envy yells at lust. Lust shrugs "You'll have to find her, gluttony will just eat her and she'll recognize me." she says smiling. I sigh annoyed, turning to leave. As i look outside at the rain i wonder 'why me?'~~ A nameless girl appears on the steps of HQ in the middle of a rain storm. She has scars running up her arms and is nervous around everyone. This little girl seems to know somthing about the homunculi, but in the meantime it seems they're out looking for her. What does this little girl have to do with them and who is she.

Something wasn't right here. The darkhaired man sat,oddly silent and nervous,beside the door of the hospital room,obsidian eyes narrowed with no hope of determining his thoughts. After what felt like hours,the blonde turned his golden gaze on his superior,"Roy..oi,bastard,what's wrong?" Silence. The boy squirmed uncomfortably,jumping as Roy stood from the chair and strode towards the bed. The older man leaned over his subordinate,eyes hidden under raven locks and shunning the emotion into a corner. His face descended on Edward's,closing the distance until their lips connected in a deep,passionate kiss. "Mmh..nngh," Ed gasped softly,breaking away and shivering at the half mast look in Roy's eyes. "Ed," Roy licked Edward's lips,groaning quietly at the sweet tang of the blonde,"E-Ed.."
