Sasuke Uchiha never left Konoha. The Uchiha massacre never happened. Itachi Uchiha - Sasuke's older brother, didn't join Akatsuki. Sasuke was never cold-hearted. Sakura was satisfied with Sasuke's personality, which made her happier. Naruto, on the other hand, was still announcing rivalry with the prodigy of the Uchiha clan but at the same time, had a strong bond with him. Everything seemed so perfect. But it just seemed, it really isn't. Orochimaru was a missing-nin. A fellow Konoha ninja who went to the wrong path which became a traitor. During his investigation with the Leaf Village, he is particularly in need of someone who has the potential to... bloom into something... stronger than expected, let's say. Who would be his prey? Naruto? Sasuke? Sakura?! ((Better than it sounds, I suck on descriptions, :3)) Disclaimer: I do not own Naruto.

My eyes brimmed with tears. "I don't know if you remember but you told me these cheesy pickup lines..." I began, my voice cracking. The room became silent as a single tear dropped from my eyes. Once it did, his expression quickly changed from confusion to worry. I immediately recalled that pickup line he told me that day, the one I used to think was nothing but a bunch of baloney but now as a treasured memory. 'You can fall from the sky, you can fall from a tree, but the best way to fall is in love with me' His words were still fresh on my mind. I could never forget that dreadful day when that happened. If it wasn't for me, he wouldn't be suffering this much. If it wasn't for my foolishness, then maybe, maybe, I wouldn't look so helpless in front of him right now. I inhaled sharply, trying to compose myself as I wipe the tears from my eyes. "Well, you're a liar. Falling in love with you isn't the best way. I would rather fall from the sky or tree than do that. Why? It's because falling in love will only bring me more suffering and pain than those two combined." Haruno Sakura has always resented everything about Uchiha Sasuke. His hair, looks, personality, gait, voice-or in short, every single thing about him ever since he has rejected her best friend, Ino, when she confessed her love for him. Who knew that one single accident will change that all? NOTE: SASUKE'S ATTITUDE HERE IS FROM ROAD TO NINJA Cover made by: Albinoshiro
