Dr. Peridot Greene is a psychiatrist at Beach City Asylum, treating those dealing with mental trauma and PTSD. If she were being blatantly honest, her job wasn't as exciting as she had previously hoped. Her patients were often rude, annoying, and simply didn't take responsibility for their actions (though this can be understandable, considering they're supposedly "messed up in the head"). Nothing unique or out of the ordinary has yet to occur, and with her life already being dull as dirt, she believes that she's meant to remain as the uninteresting, nerdy doctor that works with lunatics. Lapis Lazuli and Peridot Greene did not have what you would call a "friendship." Lapis would use Peridot for homework and cheated off her for test grades and in exchange, Peridot would get protection. They weren't really friends, more like partners. However, after an incorrect ingredient is used in a chemistry class, Lapis starts getting strange feelings for the small nerd. Feelings that extend far beyond friendship.

Normally I'd be enjoying this party. This was my crowed after all, but today was different. Earlier on in the day I had run into the most irritating person ever. Peridot, who the fuck does she think she is? She was so fucking lazy and literally never did shit and she was top of the class. She acted as if she was better than everyone. She wouldn't even acknowledge anyone. That's how we ended up crashing into each-other. She looked at me as if I was nothing and then walked off.
