She is nurturing and protective, often referred to as "Mommie" by Naomi. Supporting Characters: José and Maria Gomez: Yarazet's supportive parents who understand Naomi's needs and provide love and encouragement. Robert and Anne Torres: Marla's parents who embrace Naomi as part of the family and support Yarazet and Marla in their caregiving roles.
