This is a fan-fiction story based on the movie Gladiator. I do not own these characters. Commodus x Reader The story sets after Maximus has been sent to execution. You are a noble lady that often helped plan and attend different events with Lucilla. You were constantly in contact with Maximus and began to have a healthy friendship with him, and it was quite a shock to you when he was sent away. You believed Maximus was destined to rule. However once Maximus is gone you must prove your loyalty to Commodus. As charming as he can be you know deep down how cruel and evil he is. Yet underneath everything you know he's lost, a boy who wanted nothing more than to be loved by his father. Once Maximus is back in the picture things start to change and you're not sure if it's for the better....
