COMPLETED ✔️✔️ "I don't want to argue with you, Z." Karim gritted out. "Stop calling me that, Karim." Zaira growled. "Do not refer to me by my name. You'll refer to me with my title. We aren't even friends to begin with." Zaira glared and Karim glared back with the same intensity. "Give him to me willingly and I won't send this any further, Z. I'll even give you the chance to see him. I'm being generous even for you. So just take my offer." Karim said calmly. "You've got to be crazy. Why on Earth would I give him to you? What do you even want him for?" Zaira said angrily. Karim exhaled. "I see. My lawyers will be in touch with you soon. They'll try to settle this privately with you. But if you still decide to be stubborn then we will meet in court in the coming weeks. I won't be so generous then." Karim turned away without waiting for her to speak and walked out of the house. He shuffled through the snow which got into his shoes. He hated snow. The car door to the back was already opened for him to enter. "Let's go. And get my chief attorney on the line." Karim told Ali. "Yes Sir." He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply before exhaling. And with the escape of breath from his lungs came a lone tear from his eye. For the first time in a while, he allowed the tear to drop. ** They knew they were paired from the very beginning but destiny didn't side with them. Pain was etched into their daily lives. Copyright © 2024. All Rights Reserved. It wasn't how she could never seem to pronounce his name, "Qasim," correctly, always calling him "Kasim" since she was young. Nor was it her innocence, which seemed to follow her everywhere, highlighted by her delicate Fulani features that could be recognized from miles away. It was her, entirely. Her very existence was the axis upon which Amir Qasim's life revolved. But when that axis was removed, his world was thrown into chaos. Being born the eldest child of the Sultan wasn't his choice, nor was becoming the next Sultan, burdened with immense responsibilities. Yet he accepted it, carrying those duties he so deeply resented. Becoming the next Sultan's wife wasn't her choice either, nor was becoming the eldest Princess of the Kubi Caliphate. So why was she forced to bear the brunt of the grudge he harbored within? Why did she have to endure the short end of the stick? From the moment she stepped into the world of royalty, she knew the path would be hard-fought. But she wasn't willing to lose. Why should she? She harbors the same hatred towards him. However, there is a saying, "The more you hate, the more you love." By Ferdeausee.
