Harry's chicken is in her garden again. For the third time this week. "Styles!" she shout over the fence. "Your demon bird is attacking my sunflowers again!" He appears, slow and unbothered, leaning against the fencepost like he's got all the time in the world. "She's not attacking. She's exploring." "She's murdering." He grins. "Guess she's got taste." She crosses her arms. "I'll make stew." "Touch her," he says, "and I'll plow your garden flat." "Threats from a man who can't even keep a chicken home?" He looks at her, amused. "Wouldn't call her the only one sneaking over lately." And just like that, she's the one blushing redder than her poor, dying sunflowers.

Yield. The word haunted me long before I even understood why. It wasn't about surrender, exactly. Not the kind that made you weak. It was more like... permission. Permission to feel, permission to let someone else in without detonating everything around you. But what happens when you yield, and the person you let in disappoints you? Betrays you? When yielding turns into exposure, and every vulnerability you offered becomes a weapon pointed back at you? Let me tell you: that's when yield stops feeling like permission and starts feeling like punishment.

Ivy Williams has always been one for quiet routines, safe choices, and finding comfort in a quiet life. Harry Styles is the exact opposite. Loud, impulsive and impossible to ignore, Harry is the last person Ivy would want to be partnered with for her final-year university project - and yet, she can't seem to avoid him. What starts as a reluctant partnership soon turns into a close friendship, built on shared secrets and an understanding neither of them expected. But somewhere along the way, it starts to feel like something more. In denial, the timing is never quite right to explore their feelings. Instead, they become entangled in a blur of mixed signals, jealousy and almost-confessions while dancing around the truth. Because falling for each other was never the problem. Admitting it is.

Can you unravel the truth before anyone else? - "Are you gonna keep those lips shut for me, Princess? Or am I gonna have to make you?" He whispered tauntingly, leaning in closer to breathe cynically and I could practically hear amusement in his tone. I say nothing. Attempting to control my breathing and not break into deeper panic as my lips stayed sealed with his touch on them, slowly dragging the sensation down over my chin where he continued to smear the crimson blood. "C'mon, I know you're itching to talk back... or have I finally silenced you, hm?" He chuckled through his taunting. "Tell me Princess... are we gonna have a problem?" Slowly, I shook my head from side to side. It caused him to squeeze my chin, all of his fingertips now on me staining the imprint of his touch onto my face. He shifted his touch south, cupping the side of my neck and I squirmed against the wall at the feeling of his handprint on a sensitive area, his head moved away from my opposing ear to look down at me once again. "This is our little secret, yeah? I wouldn't want you to be the next one tied to that chair with your blood splattered on the floor." - Started: March 2024 Finished:
