It's been nearly three years since Vecna was defeated and things went back to normal - well, as normal as it can be for former residents of Hawkins, Indiana. Living in a new town, with new jobs, and new lives, Steve, Eddie, and Robin are three friends figuring out the real world just as they'd figured out alternate ones. Steve is starting to think there just may be a reason his dating life hasn't worked out. Eddie is hoping his long term crush may not be as unrequited as he thinks. And Robin - she's just trying to get through the day as the world's best wingman.

Steve 'the hair' Harrington, ex-king of Hawkins High. Steve had been everything to that school, a chick magnet, best parties, big house, and rich. Steve had had it all. All except love. All Eddie wanted to do was get high, play D&D, and play with his band Corroded coffin. Eddie was always teased and called a queer, but he didn't care. Eddie just wanted to be himself. They get assigned to new seats and of course the king and the freak was assigned to sit next to each other.The only things they had in similarities is that they were both friends with Robin.
