Thunder, the campus crush and a playboy, is the son of Khianna (billionaire heiress of the Rodriguez family) and Carlo Monteverde (from the Assassin family). He's a top student, a singer, and has a background in being an "assassin" like his dad (though his dad has changed). The story starts with Sky meeting Thunder again under unexpected circumstances - Thunder runs into their house while it's raining. It turns out their parents have arranged for them to be married when they turn 18 due to a contract signed when they were kids. Both Sky and Thunder are against this forced marriage arrangement.
