I just finally wanted to write a cute Petekey one-shot and here it is! ☺

It's warped tour 2005. The sun is sweltering and blistering everyone performing and attending the festival. But not only is skin blistering, so is the heart of Pete Wentz, the bassist of Fall Out Boy. When Pete sees Mikey Way performing on stage with his band MCR, something opens in his heart. Pete wants a real relationship with this boy. But Mikey has already been with all of Warped Tour and Half of New Jersey. He sleeps around. He's not a relationship kind of guy. How does this work out? Will Pete really win him over, show him he can be loved?

What does Mikey think of this short, loud guy who came into math class late, on the first day of school, who ended up having to sit next to him? They talked once out of the few times Pete showed up to class, and Mikey may have called him a waste of time. So what did Mikey find in the second week of school shoved in his locker? A poem. In math class he asks Pete about it on a note. They pass notes back and forth until their teacher realizes. How will Mikey navigate his life being a tutor, especially when an old crush resurfaces?

He'd been attending a heavily Christian boarding school in a Chicago suburb for as long as he could remember, and religion was one of the only consistencies in his life. The church had always been his home, even if he had to subconsciously repress major parts of himself to stay holy. Pete Wentz grew up in a religious household, attending church every week and always dreading it more than cattle dreads being turned into meat. By the time he hit puberty, he knew that he liked boys and that the religion he was forced into was not for him. Now, Pete and Mikey are both seventeen. After an excessive, tumultuous argument between Pete and his parents about his sexuality, they decide to send him off to a Christian boarding school, hoping he'd be cured of his so-called sin. Pete is convinced that he's gonna hate it there. That all changes when he arrives and meets the cute (and very, very religious) dirty blonde haired boy with whiskey brown eyes that's now his roommate.
