After a messy divorce, Marco Newgate returned to his hometown and moved back in with his father. There, he meets new people, students renting a room in the big house, but also Ace, a florist doing landscaping work and whom Marco's father hired to renovate the garden.

Luffy and the gang believe Ace needs to find someone, because he is obviously very lonely. Ace doesn't want to admit it though, and finds himself forced to join an anonymous online emailing site. Marco is also a lonely guy and ends up on the same site as Ace. They end up as emailing partners, and gradually grow closer, until one day Marco has to move and ends up as Ace's new neighbor.

Marco discovers that his friend Ace is hiding something. Without knowing the nature of this secret, the Phoenix decides to investigate, at the risk of falling on the other side. And surprise seizes him when he discovers the hidden side of the card.
