Two months after Lucifer had kissed Chloe on his balcony before saying goodbye forever, Chloe is left to deal with the repercussions of Lucifer's absence. Work is a constant struggle without her partner. Chloe is dealing with the missing space in her heart that used to be filled by her Morningstar. Will Chloe be able to move on, or will this feeling keep eating away at her? Will Lucifer's absence leave her even more vulnerable and exposed than intended?

A strange development has left Lucifer reeling, unable to veer his thoughts off one person: Chloe Decker. As he begins to realise his love for her he also acknowledges what a danger he is to her triggered more so by his siblings arrival. Lucifer begins to act strange and more reserved, in hopes that she would keep her distance, but only succeeds in sparking curiosity and worry in his partner who houses strong feelings for him. Chloe is tired of the will they won't they nonsense and only wants one thing; him. If only he could let his walls down. If only he could let her love him the way he deserves. Will they succumb to their fate or push in hopes of making their own? Will their need and desire billow high enough to break down those walls? All we know is...this is going to be one hell of a ride. (Warning: some mature material and substance mentioned, mild language)

What if when Chloe shot Lucifer in episode four he'd been invulnerable? What if she'd know the truth from the very beginning? Deviates from canon after the shooting scene in episode four. The premise of this story is nothing changes except Chloe knows the truth which changes everything. I do my best to keep everyone in characters as much as possible to show how it really might have gone down if Lucifer's subconscious mind had been a bit slower on the uptake. ;) I do include other characters but this is mostly about how it changes Chloe and Lucifer's relationship.
