Since the day she was born, Scarlet has had to accept that certain things cannot be changed.
Accept, that people choose not to express love to each other.
Accept, that there will always be fear lingering in the air.
Accept the fact that every three days, an innocent citizen must die.
But she doesn't want to just accept everything, anymore.
Scarlet isn't supposed to care when people die. She's supposed to believe what the government tells everybody, and know that the Sessions are for the greater good of society.
But she doesn't agree. She knows that the government have ulterior motives for every terrible law they produce, but they always know exactly what to say to make the people believe that they are doing a good thing. The worst part, is that the citizens are so beaten down that they never ask questions.
Except Scarlet. In the pit of her stomach, she knows that this isn't the way things are supposed to be. She's too afraid to break out, so, she must fight back every real emotion and thought in her body, in order to survive.
Until one day, an organization takes her outside the cities walls and she learns a way to fix everything.
