"Pull the trigger, Detective. Months and months of playing with your head-this is where you snap."
The voice was smooth, edges coiled in the same cold stoicism it had carried since day one.
Chan exhaled shakily, swallowing hard enough that his throat burned.
"What the fuck have you done to me?"
The words rushed out too fast, jaw ticking as his arm stayed locked in place. Minho's smirk curved, slow and delicious.
"I've done nothing to you."
Ghost stepped forward, deliberately pressing his chest against the barrel of the gun, rainwater trailing down strands of blonde hair.
"I'm not the reason you've lost your head, Chris."
Chan shoved the gun harder into his chest, breath stuttering.
Don't listen to him. Don't listen to him. Don't fucking listen to him.
"You could kill me if you want," Minho continued calmly, "but your mind is mine. You'll think of me even after I'm dead, Detective. I curated you into this-corrupted you. I'll be the mistake you never stop making. The thought you won't ever be able to control."
His eyes gleamed, rain mixing with something darker.
"Ironic, isn't it?" he murmured. "That your mind ended up belonging to me. A serial killer. When you're a figure of jurisdiction."
He leaned closer, voice dropping to a whisper meant only for him.
"And the cruelest part?"
"Is that it's not just your mind that I own, it's your heart too."
