Luke and Michael are soulmates but there's a few complications in their way. Luke lives in the ocean and has a tail while Michael lives on the coast of Australia and is terrified of open water.

"What are you still doing awake?" Luke asks, nose still scrunched up, but eyes finally open halfway. He looks soft and rumpled, like a kitten or something. "You're not smoking, are you?" "'Course not," Michael drops the cigarette from the window subtly and smiles.

"I've been telling you a lot of secrets lately." Michael chuckles sadly, biting his lip to keep the tears at bay. "You probably can't hear me and I'm a complete stranger but there's one secret I'm not ready to tell anyone." Michael continues, looking down at the coma patient. "I'm not ready to tell you either."

"god damn right, you should be scared of me." in which michael is terrified of ghosts and luke just so happens to be haunting him
