Clary has to learn the hard way the ways of the shadow world, but she is helped by her new friends Izzy, Alec and Jace, at her new school Raziel High. Her friends quickly realise she is no ordinary shadowhunter; that she has a rare power not heard of before. Will Clary use her power for good or evil? Will she swept of her feet with infatuation?
