After a long time, he managed to escape, but leaving the rest of his family behind. In exchange, he obtained powers which no one had, and it was the only thing left that reminds him - Inferno wasn't a dream; it was reality, and a nightmare. - Keb

Hello, welcome to my first contribution to Wattpad! Unfortunately, there isn't much to look forward to, as I just thought I ought to create something here. Please think of it as an introductory piece to my writing style :) Updates will not be consistent, therefore this story will actually be a compilation of short stories which centers around a certain fictional world (which may be expanded on in the future, although not necessarily by me). Again, this is a writing practice, and I do hope you will spare some words and help nudge (or drag) me out of the right door into the world of writing. Not when the flames consume you.” ------------------------------------------------------------- Behind the Hearth is, initially, a submission for my school’s creative writing competition, in which we were required to write an essay not exceeding 500 words on the topic “Playing with Fire”. The story will be quite rushed and unexplained due to the word limit, sorry about that. I may continue to unravel the story in more lengthy chapters, but for now I have (reluctantly) uploaded my submission, word for embarrassing word, as some have requested. Please enjoy!

An ancient prophecy has foretold that will come a time when the barrier between the Real World (aka. the human world) and the Game World to collide, and people all over the world playing a certain game at that moment, will be transferred into a character of that game's world (known as The Phenomenon); which only means to stay, or to escape. A 14-year-old boy, along with some his school friends, were sent to a game called Transformice, a world literally reigned by mice, covered with different games to allow survival. Keb, along with a few of his friends who he stayed up playing at midnight were all trapped into their screens. Without knowing what's happening in the real world, they have to come across the game and survive, until a method of escaping is discovered.
