Alexander Hamilton has not had an easy life. After his parents died, he bounced from foster home to foster home in Nevis, each one giving up on him and claiming that he was "too difficult to deal with." After being thrown out of his seventh foster home, he gets adopted by an American couple named George and Martha Washington. George and Martha are incredibly kind and willing to do anything for Alex, but Alex finds it difficult to trust them. He worries that they will become angry with him and throw him out the way the rest of his foster parents did. He finds himself growing more and more depressed and angry, and nothing the Washingtons do can make him feel better. Alex finds himself desparate for acceptance, and ends up in a tumultuous friendship with none other than John Laurens, a gay boy rebelling against his homophobic parents. Will the Washingtons give up on Alex, or will Alex finally learn to trust again.

That's how Medowveiw Camp for Teens got started, back in the eighties. Now it's run by George Washington and his wife, Martha who is a licensed therapist. It's another summer coming up, just like the rest. After a while you can kind of link all the kids together, they're all the same anyway. Broken home, bullies, eating disorders. You name it, they've been to the camp. Some kids have been here too many times. John Laurens, for example. Seventeen and having been attending the camp since he was fourteen. He absolutely hates it, it's the same every year and offers no help whatsoever for his so called mental illness. He wants this year to be his last, but something changes his mind from the moment he steps into his cabin.

"John Laurens' life was a mess. He knew this, and not much else." John didn't expect to fall in love at first sight, but college is full of surprises. *** this is a rewrite of one of my stories, "Oh, Lover Boy." pls don't read that one it is horrible.

After life threw Alexander around for years, things finally started settling down. He had a loving family, an education, and caring friends. A home. But of course, the world isn't quite done with him just yet. When he starts talking to John Laurens, supposedly bratty, snobbish, rich John Laurens, and finds out that what people say about him are nothing but myths he finds himself tangled on a secret friendship which eventually morphs, quite accidentally, into something more with the South Carolinian. He can't let people know about them, especially not his lovable but oh so overbearing brother Lafayette. It gets even worse when feelings are thrown into the picture. But whatever, what Lafayette doesn't know won't hurt him, right?

John Laurens is the ultimate celebrity. He's charming, he gives to charities, he's crazy talented, and on top of that, the whole world loves him. Well, the whole world except for his childhood best friend, of course. When John had left to become a superstar, he left Alexander Hamilton behind. They had lost contact after a couple years as John got sucked up into the world of being famous. So what happens when John, the singer devoted to his music, visits Alex, the scorned man who no longer enjoys his company, after ten years? ~.~ This story is inspired by Anthony Ramos's album, The Good and The Bad, and each title uses the song titles.
