"Don't you see, little girl? This is all merely a game." Eclipse was advancing towards her with a ruthless grin spread across his face. "A game?" Charlotte Avery was still dazed from from being thrown twenty feet to the cold hard ground. She tasted blood in the back of her throat and her vision was hazy. She couldn't move for it would only send searing pain through her body. The only thing she could focus on was the large deadly dagger that seemed to quickly glide closer to her. "Yes, a game," came a gravely booming voice. "I like to call it The Killing Game. As the name states, it's a game where you kill." He was on top of her now and he pressed the tip of the dagger to the side of her neck. The tip slowly and lightly ran across the soft fair skin, causing warm, deep red crimson to leak out. The blood spread until there was no patch of skin was dyed red. The cut burned but then subsided into numbness. "And you're my next victim. Goodnight, my dear."

The pale stars were sliding into their places. The whispering of the leaves was almost hushed. All about them it was still and shadowy and sweet. It was that wonderful moment when, for lack of a visible horizon, the not yet darkened world seems infinitely greater-a moment when anything can happen, anything you believed in. It's the most frightful time of the day-or evening. It's when all the monsters come out, vampires, werewolves, ghosts, and other unnatural things. But most people don't know it, they just go about their own businesses, frolicking around-not having a care in the world. It is in these times that they start to disappear. Distant screams, forbidding blood, creatures that lurk in the shadows. Within these shadows lies a deep legend that has been long forgotten...until now. Scarlett and her friends have been warped back into a horrifying legend that, to only one, was believed to be a myth. Now they must face the vicious creatures that dwell deep within the old library and murderous betrayals. With the stakes now higher than ever, one must choose between insanity and death. And what the hell is up with this blood oath that Scarlett is to repay? Their time now running out, they must survive until dawn and escape the accursed library for their own lives. But these creatures aren't going to let them easily go astray, dusk till dawn do they hunt, and they'll stop at nothing to make sure that no one sees the light of day again.
