When Shadow gets injured from one of his and Sonic's infamous fights and is left bed bound, Sonic feels pure guilt and goes to apologise to him. Basically just a traumatized Sonic that is friends with Shadow in secret, but in public they act like rivals just to make up for it later everytime. Shadow ends up losing Sonic one day, and Shadow is never seen again.
