Inside the box lies a barely moving baby, shivering and pale, its breathing so shallow it's almost nonexistent. Panic surges through Hyunjin's veins as his hands tremble over the frail infant. Then he sees it-a small sticky note, soaked and crumpled but still readable. "Haneul." His throat tightens. Someone abandoned this baby. Left him out here to die. Mais la vérité, c'est qu'il ne sait plus vraiment qui il est. Les produits de beauté qu'il collectionne, ses vieux vêtements chinés, tout cela le renvoie à des morceaux d'une personne qu'il ne reconnaît plus. Coincé dans une prison de néons pendant ses nuits de travail et perdu dans ses rêves d'art, il se laisse engloutir par un hiver intérieur, où aucun sentiment ne semble germer. Au fil des saisons, il apprend à endurer la solitude et à accepter la transformation que la douleur impose, jusqu'à ce qu'il découvre enfin la lumière.

« - Hyunjin, est ce que vous pourriez nous parler de cette photo ? » Cette phrase, ainsi que ce vulgaire bout de papier, c'est tout ce qu'il aura fallu pour plonger les Stray Kids, et plus particulièrement Hyunjin, dans une véritable descente aux enfers. Les protagonistes ne m'appartiennent nullement, uniquement l'intrigue dans laquelle je les fais se développer.
