Irina is an American archaeologist on vacation in Scotland. She discovers there is a ring of stones (called a menhir, if you care to learn about such things) outside of town, so she decides to go and explore. What she finds delights her, not only a henge (a stone ring) but remains of tomb mounds and she spends a happy afternoon exploring it. Just before she decides to head back to town, she lays down, unwittingly, in the shadow of a tall stone. She wakes, realizing not only had she fallen asleep, but now she discovers that something is amiss--she may not even be in her own time. Even worse, she can hear the sound of men and horses...and realizes she is trapped and has nowhere to run. Fortunately, she stumbles across a young Highlander named Jamie Fraser who helps her hide. Together they spend the night in a tomb, but when she finds out that Jamie is on the run, she insists that he leave, and she will act as bait to enable him to make his getaway. This is not your usual "Outlander" story. A good portion is OC orientated, with Jamie making appearances and then vanishing from the story until he re-appears. When my OC finally gets to Castle Leoch, Gabaldon's characters make their appearances. I had fun writing this, it was the story I wanted to write, and it's Outlander themed. This is my first fic, it's an adaption of Outlander where Faith, Jamie and Claire's first child, lives. This timeline is not the same as the shows/books, but the storyline still stays the same (mostly). Claire gave birth to Faith before they left for France and when they return home to Lallybroch, she is 4. They restart their lives at Lallybroch and they find the happiness they have always been looking for, but spring comes, and so does news of Jamie being a Jacobite. And I know I suck at description but please give it a try Claire Beauchamp an English women from the year 1945. She is a unmarried nurse with a passion for traveling. While in Scotland she came upon some weird stones. She touched the middle one and the next thing she knew she was swept up into a world full of adventure, love, and action

In 1945 Claire comes back from the war and finds out about some terrible things. Again and again she sees it happening. Out of anger she leaves to a place called Craigh Na Dunn to calm down and touches the stone. She's transported in a completely different world but manages to make the best out of it. When she finally thinks she has peace something happens which she was expecting she just refused to believe it...
