"Kill me now, sweetheart... or I swear, you'll never escape me again." His voice was calm. His eyes? Anything but. Obsession. Pain. Lust. Rosalie Yeung never asked to play savior, but when she rescued a bleeding stranger one night in Taiwan, her quiet life shattered. Now, she's caught between two dangerous men: One wants to protect her. One wants to own her. And both are hiding secrets that could ruin her. She doesn't know who to trust. She doesn't even know herself anymore. Not with the flashbacks. Not with the voices. Not with the part of her heart that's beginning to ache for the one man she should fear most. But here's the problem with mercy, it never comes without a cost. And in a world of mafias, masks, and misplaced memories, love might just be the most dangerous weapon of all. Perfect for fans of #DarkRomance, #MafiaLove, and #Yandere male leads who don't play fair.

"Kali...my beautiful little goddess of destruction, for that is the only name that is suitable for you. The gift to our bloodline...yet also the curse to my blood," says the hooded woman as she kisses the forehead of her child. The little baby stares at her mother as snow falls, creating a winter abyss around them. "What a wonderful little werewolf you turned out to be...Isn't that right, sweetie?" she says, rocking back and forth as she clutches her baby to her chest, protecting her from the harsh cold, the harsh world. Kali squeezes onto her mothers cloak, feeling warmed by her mothers words. "But of course...your life will be hard this way...so I will give you a chance. Once you find your mate, you will live happily...but face rejection...and it will awaken...wanting to kill all you know," she says, smiling manically. Kali looks at her mother, confusion plastered across her face. "Fail to learn to control it...and all your loved ones will die...falling at your feet...my little Goddess of destruction," she says, placing Kali on the doorstep of the large pack house ahead of them. As the woman backs away from her child, tears stream from its tiny, helpless face. The mother gives the child one last smile, before she is slashed with an invisible sword, and blood is sprayed across the pure snow, tainting the beautiful scenery. The baby screams, as her mothers body disappears completely, leaving behind nothing but blood, and a child.

Friendship like theirs only exists in fairytales. Unrealistic stories where Prince Charmings can also be players, where nerds can be sought after by all the knights in the land, and where five girls with absolutely nothing in common can be the best of friends. They were all fractured, undeniably and very obviously so. None lived with seven itty-bitty men or wicked step mothers but all were the princesses of their very own kingdom. But instead of ruling over their kingdom, they ruled their high school. The Stereotype Princesses. Ashley was and had always been the dark-skinned ruler of the athletes. Her serve was just as accomplished on the courts as it was off. The Princess of the Jocks. There was nothing pink and frilly about Elizabeth. Her dark clothes matched her anti-social personality. She was a shy, curly haired mess but when she spoke, you listened. The Princess of the Goths. Rebellious was a nice way to describe Nicolette. Her green eyes shined with rebellion and her curves screamed sin the same way her personality did. She wasn’t at all familiar with guilt or consequences but much too familiar with the whole football team. The Party Princess. Sense and Sensibility were not words that would be used to describe Amanda. Mostly, because she would take the reference much too literally. Blonde was not only the color of her shoulder length hair but also her personality. Straight-edge and slow witted, everyone loved her but not everyone had the patience for her. The Princess of the Preps. Charlotte was all freckles and sunshine. Her innocence with boys was just like her pale skin- untouchable. She was a boy band groupie with way too much talent but very little social skills. The Princess of the Outcasts.

"You're pathetic," Seren spat, "how could you—how dare you treat me like that? I loved you—I fucking loved you!" Zavien just gazed at her. He watched in agony as she fell to pieces in front of his face. He remained silent, he couldn't speak or else she would be shot down on the spot, then God knows what would happen next. His duty was to protect her, to keep her from awakening her dormant hybrid abilities. Zade had no idea what she was capable of, Zavien wanted to make sure no one ever knew. He had seen them on several occasions behind closed doors and between the sheets, or more so, on top of them. She was dangerous. Just like her father said. "Don't just stand there!" She yelled at him. "Say something! Anything!" He clenched his jaw. "Don't get yourself hurt, Princess," he said and turned his back on her, "this is goodbye." He could hear her heart shattering inside of her chest. She collapsed to the floor in a fit of sobs and he left. "Have faith in me, Seren...please."

I stare into his face, gaze into his electric blue irises. "It's... you!" I exclaim. He smiles, his eyes twinkling, like shinning stars. I inch forward, brushing through piles of old dream catchers, until I'm standing right in front of him. "You're the boy in my dreams," I say, in wonder. He tilts his head sideways. His eyes shone, reflecting the coulourful light throw by the whimsical dream catchers hanging in the small, dark room. "It's a dream come true," I whisper, hardly daring to believe. He bends his head, his eyes just inches from mine. "Are you sure? Look around you, don't you feel it?" I force myself to tear away from his electrifying stare and gaze around. "What do you mean?" "You aren't really here. It's just a dream. I am a dream. In a dream, where we are forced to be the players for a slumbering audience. Now, you are a Dreamer, but it won't be long before you they make you one of us. Soon the world will realize, Everyone is only living a dream they have no control over." Angela Miller has always been a little...crazy. That's why she is a psychologist. She's been through almost everything a girl could go through, and she knows how to pull herself out of those dark times. Ethan Rome is the exact opposite. With his shockingly good looks and his perfectly sculpted body, those things just almost overrule the whole being a mental patient thing. Angela and Ethan are polar opposites, but with someone who is completely crazy, and someone who is too controlling for their own good, who's to know which one is actually Crazy?
