Phuong Nguyen grew up a foster child; she knew the true meaning of Hell on Earth. In her teens, she'd desperately sought refuge in the online virtual world. Within those computer-based communities she could be anyone. Do anything. She became known around the world as Ratridevi, co-founder of the Hive Collective. With the Hive's assistance she'd taken down dictators. Brought child pornographers to justice. She'd at long last found love. But now her research into consciousness, meditation, and virtual reality had unearthed a stunning breakthrough - she could view any time in history before 1966 and create an exact video recording of what occurred. These revelations could help viewers track down long-lost gold mines, reveal the truth behind religious systems, and destroy corrupt empires. Now she just has to stay alive long enough to share the news. * * * A Time to Mourn A Time to Dance is book one in this series. In general, my novellas are written without explicit intimacy or violence. As such they are suitable for teens and up. I support battered women's shelters. I would love your input as I'm writing these - it's your suggestions which will help guide the direction the story moves in! If you prefer to read your stories complete, you are welcome to wait until the sequence is complete and then buy the box set. Either way, you support the cause! I traditionally create a boxed set for my novella series every three books or so.

It was cosmic fate that I was a thought-after grand-niece, for it meant when Tobias passed away from his delirium that his run-down apartment in Providence, Rhode Island became available to me. Fate, too, that the abhorrent discovery of my girlfriend cheating on me with a nautical blonde drove me back to a city I swore I would never live in again. But the fates had an even more horrific plan in store for me. For in the dusty back room of my grand-uncle's third floor awaited three musty, long-abandoned boxes. And when curiosity drove me to open the lid ... * * * The Monstrous Vision of the Cthulhu Call is book one in my series: A Lovecraft Romp Through Every Genre There Is - And Some That Are Not. As the title might indicate, I was informed by a fellow author that every series absolutely must stay within a well-defined genre. Being a contrarian, I promptly set out to write a series in which each subsequent story is set with the same characters in a wildly different genre. I would love to hear your thoughts as I write this series as to which genres I should tackle next. Space Opera? Cozy Mystery? Amish Romance? The fun of me posting series as I write them is that it provides you, the reader, with an opportunity to shape and guide the results! Book 1 is the Horror Genre book. I will post a boxed set when I finish, for those who prefer to read series all at once. A portion of all proceeds benefit battered women's shelters. I lived in Providence for two years and the series is based on where I lived.

Emily is embarking on a new adventure - she's in middle school. Unfortunately, the challenges remain the same. Nobody can pronounce her Cornish last name, Treworgy. Her mother is working all the time and her stepfather barely knows she exists. Her only escape is to lose herself in her favorite tales of King Arthur at the Whitinsville Social Library. But when she happens across a leather-bound book of Cornish poetry, her life changes forever ... * * * Cordelia is book one in the Cornish Pixie in Whitinsville short story series. This interconnected short story series follows Emily's adventures as she explores Whitinsville with a small band of magical creatures. The stories are written gently, with no violence, swearing, or other adult content. They are quite suitable for teenagers and up. I tend to write with a vocabulary which might challenge many middle-school readers, but advanced readers would enjoy the journey. Half of all proceeds from this series benefits battered women's shelters. I would love your input as I'm writing these - it's your suggestions which will help guide the direction the story moves in! If you prefer to read your stories complete, you are welcome to wait until the sequence is complete and then buy the box set. Either way, you support the cause! I traditionally create a boxed set for my short story series every 10 books.

Sutton, Massachusetts. 1675 Many reverends are preaching from the pulpit that the natives must be driven out. That the fertile lands of the new world are intended by God Himself for the newcomers who swarm in ever-increasing numbers from England. Prudence isn't so sure about that. She and her father have been traveling the quiet pathways of central Massachusetts for years now, spreading the good word, and their message is of peace and friendship. One of the converted "praying villages" they work with is named Manchaug, and the locals there have a special place in her heart. Especially Askuwheteau - "He keeps watch". In another world they might have fallen in love. They might even have married and raised a loving family. But this is 1675, and Christian girls simply could not do such a thing. Her father would absolutely refuse to allow it, despite all his care in saving the souls of the heathens. And so her only hope is to spend a few precious days talking with Askuwheteau during her seasonal visit. She will treasure each hour they can spend together. Her small wagon crests the hill - Manchaug is in ashes. * * * Manchaug is the first of new short story series exploring the tumultuous world of Massachusetts in the late 1600s. It examines how the tens of thousands of incoming colonists tumbled up against the existing natives with increasing chaos. These books can be read singly or as a boxed set, once I write ten of them. Some people enjoy reading as I write while others prefer to wait and binge-read in a set. The stories contain no explicit violence nor intimacy. As such, they are suitable for teens and up. Half of all proceeds from the Manchaug series benefit battered women's shelters.

Ava was in trouble again. This time it was for pummeling Dominik, that bully, when he was harassing sweet little Pia. Why did the teacher always blame Ava for everything that went wrong? The moment Ava was free from that one-room schoolhouse she headed for the mountains. An adventure was just what she needed. And it was about time to learn if that tumbled-down keep high in the craggy cliffs was really as scary as the stories made it seem. A twisting path, some blossoms of edelweiss, and a rickety, swaying rope bridge - but at last the crumbling tower was in front of her. She would knock on the door just for politeness sake. And then she would head inside the abandoned building to explore. Except ... The door was pulled open ... * * * Aries - an Adventure of Mythology and Folklore is the first book in the Zodiac Maidens of Melk Short Stories series. These short stories are about 50 pages each and feature heroines who represent each astrological sign. They are set in a fantasy world based on medieval Austria. All of the Zodiac Maidens of Melk series contain no violence, no swearing, and no intimacy, so they are suitable for teens and up. You can read the books one-by-one as they are released or you can wait for the boxed set to be published once the series is complete with twelve books. Some people like to binge-read all at once. Others like to read as I write and offer feedback to guide the storyline. It's your choice! A portion of all proceeds benefits battered women's shelters.

Historic Copper Age Exploration of the Traditional Noah Flood Story / 18 pages Ku-aya led a joyful life with her parents and her three younger brothers. Her days were spent tending to the fields of wheat, watching over the herd of sheep, and dancing along the banks of the salt-river which ran through the center of her beautiful sprawling village. Every dawn brought new blessings from the Sky Father above. But The Striker, god of storms and change, could have a callous streak. With each passing year the salt-river grew ever wider, dividing their town into halves. And there were those who whispered that this was just a harbinger of a greater ill to come ... * * * Black Sea Deluge is the first book in my short story series set in the Black Sea region during the Copper Age - around 5,600 BC. The stories retell the Noah Flood myth from a historical perspective. These short stories are about 15 pages each. The Noah Flood series contains no violence, no swearing, and no intimacy, so they are suitable for teens and up. You can read the books one-by-one as they are released, or you can read the boxed sets. The boxed sets are compiled immediately after reaching each 10-book milestone. It's your choice! Nicole Bessam had finally found him. After long, fruitless years of searching, after countless missteps and mistakes, she had at last reunited with the man she had pledged her heart to. He was right there in front of her. But he didn't remember her face. Commander Jon Paxton was transfixed by the woman before him. He'd had lovers in the past, certainly - women who eased his loneliness. But none had ever called to him the way Nicole did. None had ever fit into his life as neatly as a key fits into its lock. And there seemed to be so much more beneath the surface - but he just couldn't reach it. Nicole had to move as carefully as a cat negotiating a rocky ledge high above a desolate abyss. One reckless step, one shift in the wrong direction, and the love they had shared could be forever lost. Aquarian Awakenings is the first of four novellas in the Collective Saga series. This adventure romance is set in a sci-fi fantasy future, one where countless disparate races coexist in a tenuous truce. Only the strength of the Collective military keeps the peace and guards against invaders. These stories are presented in a gentle manner, with no explicit violence or intimacy.

Part black. Part Irish. Part Lumbee Indian. Wholly determined to protect her family. Naomi Jackson made a mistake. Born in the tumultuous years following the American Revolution, she embraced change, excitement, and adventure. So when the Devil Bill Williams swaggered into town, she launched into his arms, determined that her love for him could overcome all obstacles. It couldn't. Now she has two young children, a life of misery, and a hopeless, desperate desire to escape. Then David Oxendine arrives for a Christmas visit - and things will never be the same. * * * Across the River - an 1800s Black / Native American Novella is the first in a series of novellas about Naomi Jackson's heartfelt, challenging life. These stories are based loosely on author Lisa Shea's real-life ancestor, Naomi Jackson, who was born in 1784 in Guilford County, North Carolina. Naomi's father had been taken from Northern Ireland as a child, while her mother was mixed-blood black, Lumbee, and Irish. Each novella has a cliff-hanger ending, much like Naomi's life. All author's proceeds from the Naomi Jackson series benefits local battered women's shelters. An important note for readers of my various series. Normally my content is quite "clean" with little to no swearing, violence, or physical intimacy. With this being based on the immense hardships my ancestor struggled through, I wanted to be authentic to the issues she rose above. This book therefore includes period-appropriate harsh language as well as several scenes of conflict. I gave a great deal of thought to including these and feel they are necessary to fully convey the trials she overcame. I apologize to those who feel uncomfortable reading that style of material. Please feel free to contact me at my website if you have any questions or comments - I thrive on your feedback.
