6 years ago, Lance was kidnapped without a clue to where he went. Team Voltron searched far and wide, with not even a smidge of luck. They still have a bit of hope, but after 6 years that hope is dwindling. The blue lion has a new paladin, and the team is moving on. 5 years in the slave trades changed Lance, physically and mentally. He is a new person, no longer the goofy blue paladin he once was. He is now the leader of a year-old group of do-gooder assassins who take down the people who once "owned" them. Their identities hidden, they are known only as the "Deathhawks", and Lance known as "Pike". When Voltron hears about the Deathhawks, they want to meet up and ask them to join the Voltron Coalition. What happens when the paladins meet up with them, "Pike" included?

~WARNING~ Mentions of injuries, violence, and possibly gory details ~ In the midst of battle, Blue ejects Lance as the Lion takes a heavy blow. Lance is stranded on the Earth-like planet since Blue fell into a deep abyss. The paladins realize this is a battle that won't be won and decide to leave. But as they realize the blue lion is temporarily lost, they decide to leave Keith and Red to stay with Lance and look for Blue. Maybe the rivals can learn to be friends... Or perhaps more (Sorry for the terrible description and its cheesiness. This takes place sometime in season two after they find out Keith is Galra, but kinda goes off the plot at some point. It started with just a small handcuff bonding activity that turned into late night talks and movie night.See the story about Keith and lance turning from rivals to friends and maybe something more. As the Blade of Marmora and Voltron gain leverage against the Galra, Keith is sent back to the castle to visit with his teammates for a few days. While everyone happily welcomes Keith with open arms Lance chooses to keep his distance. Frustrated with Lance's unexplained bitter attitude, Keith confides his stresses to the red lion. When red gets fed up with Keith's late night angst she decides to take action. That my friends is how Keith and Lance got locked insided of a giant magic robot space cat.
