This story is about an orphan cub found on the edge of the pride lands. That was adopted by Sarabi and Mufasa. They named the cub Aurora as they found her at dawn. How does Simba feel about his adopted sister? How does Nala feel about her? How does Aurora cope when Mufasa dies? Does she ever have cubs of her own?

How cold and dark it was in her little cupboard. It always was. She shivered under the filthy, threadbare blanket as tears prickled at the corners of her eyes. The sore and exhausted six year old heard the old clock in the sitting room across the hall, strike midnight and she squeezed her eyes tight, wishing so hard that maybe, someone, somewhere in the world, would be her friend.
