After his caregiver's death, Charlie has spent over a year cycling through homes that never last. Each new placement promised safety but delivered disappointment, leaving him guarded, isolated, and slowly spending less time in little space. When his social worker assigns him yet another caregiver, Charlie expects the same ending. But this one is different-quiet, imposing, and unexpectedly patient. Then again, all of them did. As Charlie pushes limits and tests boundaries, a fragile bond begins to form, forcing him to decide whether he's willing to risk hope one more time.

Zayn and Liam have built a steady life together and already adopted two sons: Louis (17), sharp and perceptive, and Niall (16), calm and diplomatic. Their family isn't perfect, but it works. Then they get a call. An eleven-year-old boy needs a home. Urgently. Highly intelligent. Multiple failed placements. Concerning behavior. They say yes. From the moment Harry arrives, everything shifts. He isn't loud-he's precise. He watches, analyzes, and finds the cracks. His provocations are deliberate: a look held too long, words chosen carefully, silence used as a weapon. He pushes Liam to his limits, testing exactly how far he can go before they give up on him. Because that's what he expects. Zayn stays calm, refusing to play along. Louis sees right through him and pushes back without hesitation. Niall tries to keep the peace. But Harry keeps his distance. To him, closeness is dangerous- because he's certain it never lasts.

It's almost funny. How grief sneaks up on you. One second, you're fine; you're coping well and then it hits you like a bullet, tearing right through your heart, almost killing you on the spot. Grief is a monster that lies dormant in the darkest quarters of your mind, growing stronger and stronger until you can't fight anymore. Until you can't breathe. Peter was fractured. The monster having grown too big, and without any support left to hold him up, the world of drugs dug its claws into him. And it was slowly killing him, like a sickly sweet poison that dulled the pain while quietly feeding on his soul. He was powerless to stop it. He was too tired to stop it. Tony was doing pretty good. Aside from having died, he was doing pretty good. Resurrected from the dead, check. Thanos dead, check. Wife and daughter thriving, check. He'd never expected to get his life back, that was for sure. He was thankful for the second chance. Unfortunately, Tony was quick to discover that the kid had all but lost his own life. It felt like a knife slowly twisting into his chest every time he saw the kid: in agony. Now Tony wasn't exactly the poster-child for a good emotional support figure, but he wasn't about to sit back and let this continue. No matter how hard the kid fought him, no matter how much resistance he was met with, Tony would help the kid. Still, he couldn't help the fear that laced his blood. Tony couldn't help but question whether he would be able to save Peter from the weight of grief. **NO Starker** Triggers Warnings: Substance Use/Abuse Depressive and/or Suicidal Thoughts/Mentions Rape Threats/Mentions Descriptive Blood/Minimal Gore Some Self-Harm Coarse Language Mental Illness (various) This is a heavier story, so please don't read if you're not comfortable with any of the above triggers. Everyone in the friend group has already received their classification. Everyone... except Ivan. At seventeen, almost eighteen, he's the youngest of them all, still living at home, still pretending he doesn't care about the test that will decide his future. He's the silly, bratty one of the group. Loud when he's nervous. Energetic when he's overwhelmed. Always ready to argue, tease, or stir up chaos just to avoid talking about what's really on his mind. December is getting closer. And so is his classification. Elijah, one of the caregivers in the group, has started noticing the signs. The small things. The way Ivan gets overtired. The way his emotions slip when he's overwhelmed. The way he looks for comfort without realizing he's doing it. Elijah doesn't want to scare him. Doesn't want to push. Doesn't want to label him before the system does. So instead, he watches. He steps in when he needs to. He makes sure Ivan is safe, even when the boy insists he doesn't need it. Because sometimes the scariest part isn't the classification itself. It's what it means. And Ivan isn't ready to face that yet.
