[Arknights x Male Reader story] "There is always light, even in the darkest of places. Extend your hand and march forward, for you see over the horizon, the light that brings forth hope." A helping hand in need is all that he is. A man with no identity. A human who simply goes by facing many different challenges and events every day. Some similar and some different. He also has the luck of attracting a lot of unwanted attention. Did he mention that he's not normal in terms of Terra standards?

Translated from "靛自将息" by Salion Miller, originally published on April 20, 2022. Translator's note: I read Joyce's The Dead a few days ago, which reminds this passage, which is also perfect in describing farewells and pursuits very well. To put this story in simple and easy-to-understand terms, it is essentially a decision about 'to act' or 'not to act.' One can either be content with the status quo, patiently waiting as time etches marks on both body and mind, eventually unable to withstand it and being ground into dust to return to the earth, or one can use their talent and ability to take a gamble, striving to accomplish the unfinished tasks that must be completed. I'd like to use the word I once heard below the original post: "Life is but a fleeting moment, so why not do things that you find meaningful, spending your limited time immersed in endless passion? It's a pity that there are too many attachments in the world. If I had the chance, I would also like to be like Lastwine - seek means in the world, earn a smile from a beloved, gain the satisfaction of my fellows, and find my own carefree joy." Hope you enjoy this passage.

Translated from "半线花火", A passage from Chinese Arknights doujin writer Salion. Originally published March 15th, 2022. Translated by Echoes, the owner of this account. It's a story about an accidental meets and remeets. P.S. The draft had been lying long in my draft folder. However, after a few years' thought, while reading Joyce's novel and learning more about literature (e.g., Dubliners and its structure, etc.), I suddenly realized that this piece itself is great enough, even ignoring its doujin-based background. Hope this passage, and my words, could bring you bravery and warmth.

"Ark" is a next-generation MMORPG that once reached a peak of 80 million online users worldwide. The game's setting is a world called Terra, rather than "Holy Terra," a vast and chaotic planet thirty times larger than Earth, filled with expansive lands and plagued by frequent natural disasters. The story follows Felix, a player who is unexpectedly transported back in time to the period before the game's official server launch. However, instead of returning as a player, he finds himself reincarnated as an NPC within the game. Now functioning with all the traits and systems of an NPC, Felix becomes a legendary figure among players. To them, he is: A mysterious merchant, A dreamlike mentor, An unattainable ideal for countless female players. Within the world of Terra, Felix is more than just an NPC, for he is seen as a spiritual guide, a false priest, a dreamer, a philosopher, a reformer, a philanthropist, a loner, a seeker, an explorer, and a pioneer. "Let the players enjoy the game, and I shall profit from every second they do." Jeston: "I could take two or three punches from Saria, but I wouldn't dare take even one from Felix. Even if God ordered me to, I'd go to war with Him instead." Arturia: "Felix's presence makes me want to perform before him for three days and three nights, without rest." Patriot: "Your ideals... they are reality." MacArthur, a five-star American operator, once remarked: "All it takes is a single move from him, and he'll dominate the entire Terra Daily hot search list. The moment I saw Felix on the battlefield, I knew that there was no turning back." ... Hello everyone this is Arknights fanfiction that I translated. I love arknights, specially the lore (Heavy Lappy simp) and i think this fanfiction is good enough that I wanted to translate it for everyone to read if you want. And yes, this is heavily inspired from "The Legendary Mechanic". Note: I have the raw source so if your asking from the original then I'm sorry.

Every night I lay in bed, I like to imagine myself in another world. The world I most find myself in is Terra, the world of Arknights. I always find myself dreaming of the world, the powers, the amazing characters, and the beautiful locations found throughout. One night, I find myself dreaming of a Lungmen bar. I close my eyes to let my mind create a better picture. As I open my eyes, I find myself inside that very same bar. The scenario I thought of while in bed has come true, and it appears that my dreams have become my backstory. As I try to understand my situation a little bit better, a familiar rich tiger stumbles into the bar dead drunk, with her sights on me. NOTE: This is a rewrite of another story of mine of the same name with some major and minor things changed between the two. I will be focusing on the rewrite rather than the orginial story.
