District 8 was never meant to survive the arena. For decades, their tributes died quickly-forgotten among the Careers and the Capitol's favorites. Until Juniper Madder stepped into the 69th Hunger Games and did the impossible. Clever, stubborn, and far more dangerous than anyone expected, she became District 8's first victor in years. Three years later, Daisy Korrin followed her. Softer where Juniper is sharp, but just as determined to survive, Daisy won the 72nd Games by refusing to become the monster the Capitol wanted. The two victors became symbols of hope in a district built on exhaustion and grief. But the Capitol doesn't like symbols. When the 75th Hunger Games are announced, President Snow changes the rules: two female victors will be reaped from District 8.

ᥫ᭡ ʚ⋆ 𝜗𝜚 ⋆ɞ ᥫ᭡ Lidia Beaumont is just fourteen years old when she is reaped for the 73rd annual Hunger Games. She came from District Eight, where the looms never stopped, and silence was easier than concern. Her days were spent in a lace factory beside her mother, stitching delicate patterns with trembling fingers and a distant gaze. People whispered about her-said she was odd, unstable, prone to long silences and sudden shifts. One moment calm, the next unreadable. Her moods flickered like faulty lights, but no one paid it much attention. Not in a district where survival came first. In the arena, Lidia unraveled. She slipped into dissociation so deep, the Games stopped feeling real. The screams, the blood, the killings-it all blurred into a strange, dreamlike state. To her, it was a game. One where nothing truly mattered. She killed without thinking, without meaning to, as if she was moving on autopilot. There was no plan, no emotion, just instinct and confusion. And a Capitol audience that couldn't look away from the girl with the blank stare and the blood-stained hands. STARTED: 11/04/25 ENDED: - [ pre-the hunger games to post-mockingjay ]

What is birthright? Perhaps it was written in Natalia's fate to be reaped for the 69th annual Hunger Games. She was born so closely into the violence that tainted her whole world that it was only fitting to die as closely.
