Sometimes, moving to a new place can be both exciting and scary, especially if it's in a different country. But for sixteen-year-old Hannah Owens, the idea of living in England and getting to know a different culture is a great experience. Though from the moment she and her family arrive at their new home, there's something slightly odd about it that she feels but can't quite place at first. During their first week in Stoneley, strange things happen. Hannah finds herself awakening continuously from a horrible nightmare, followed by the sound of bathwater running at ungodly hours of the morning. As the days go by, things get even creepier. And with the exception of her younger sister, her family seems completely unaware of what's going on. Determined to know why this is happening, Hannah starts a little research of her own.
