The Vaelor name carries weight in Navarre. General Aldric and General Mila Vaelor command respect in the Riders Quadrant, their political and military influence reaching the highest halls of power. What few know is that their loyalty has always walked a quiet line-supporting the rebellion from the shadows, long before the execution of Fen Riorson. Their children grew up in a world of secrets. Summers were spent alongside the marked ones: Imogen, Bodhi, Garrick, Liam, Quinn... and Xaden Riorson, whose name alone is a curse in most of Basgiath. But their childhood was not only with the children of traitors. She and her brothers also ran through the halls of Navarrian estates with Violet Sorrengail, Rhae Varrish, and Dain Aetos-a bridge between two worlds that were never supposed to meet. Now, at twenty, Soren enters the Riders Quadrant. Her parents prepared her for more than one path, but the moment she steps onto the parapet, she knows there is no turning back. Waiting in the chaos is Xaden-squad leader, shadow wielder, and the one person with whom she has always danced an invisible line. Close enough to know his silence. Distant enough to never name what passes between them. As whispers of a coming war grow louder, Soren must navigate a quadrant that would destroy her if it knew where her loyalties truly lie. Her family's hidden support of the rebellion, her friendships with the marked, her unspoken bond with the most dangerous man in Basgiath-all of it threatens to surface. Some marks are written in blood. Others, in shadows.

Basgiath War College is no place for softness. Especially not for love. In a brutal world where dragons choose riders and survival is a matter of strength, Caelia Virellan has already beaten the odds-third-year, bonded to one of the most powerful dragons alive, and deadly enough to earn her respect among the elite. She doesn't flinch. She doesn't falter. And she never lets anyone close. Except maybe him. Xaden Riorson is a marked man-vengeful, sharp-edged, and hiding more than anyone knows. Bound by loyalty, rage, and shadows, he's sworn never to trust the daughter of his father's killer. But when Violet Sorrengail enters the Riders Quadrant, everything shifts-including the armor Xaden keeps around his heart. And through it all, there's Caelia. The one person who sees too much. Knows too much. And stays anyway. As war brews beyond the wards and secrets begin to unravel, Caelia and Xaden find themselves circling the one truth they can't escape: There are a thousand ways to say "I love you." And sometimes, the quietest ones cut the deepest. One war college. Two powerful dragons. Ninety-nine unspoken confessions. Slow burn. Sharp tongues. Softer hearts. And a love that was never supposed to happen.

[Currently undergoing very slow updates] Ari Sprawling can't ease the pit in her stomach as she packs her bag for Basgaith War College. In a few hours, she will either be dead, or a rider - neither fate a choice she would make on her own. As she enters the Rider's Quadrant, the last thing on her mind is jeopardizing generations of her family. But, with two other riders in her mind, keeping a secret is easier said than done. [Xaden Riorson x Violet Sorrengail x fem!oc] - first chapter (prologue) is written differently than the rest of the fic, so until I decide what I want to change abt it to make it better (LOL) please at least read through the start of the first real chapter. There's a pov shift and my writing is much more my style. LOL
