It wasn't easy. It wasn't easy at all, keeping this dream of his alive. After the incident with the sorceress Ultimecia, every single person able to control magic was sentenced to be found, put on trial, and have the fate of either ending up dead or as an experiment to rid the world of magic wielding freaks. He was the smartest kid in class. The best at what he did. He was rebellious, so it wasn't like this wasn't such a huge surprise to him, but, really, she was supposed to be dead. Or experimented on. And, really, Ultimecia proved that this dream of his, this romantic dream, or so he called it, was just a fluke and something he really shouldn't be pursuing. But, weeks ago, he found her trying to steal some of his food and claiming to be a good sorceress. Yeah, like he could believe that. He had the blade to her throat. She was shaking in fear. She was totally at his mercy and would have died for stealing from him. But then she had to go and say those damn words. She just had to go and ask if he had any mercy and shed some tears and talk about her dream of seeing her family as an accomplished sorceress with friends and how it would've been so nice and everything would've been fine. No, she of course had to wreck his life talking about her dreams.

Whyareall's great idea is what brought this along, though I did have it in the back of my mind. It's also my attempt at humour aha. Vampires. Blood sucking hunters of the night. Sinful creatures that attract all. ... A bucket load crap to [Name].

The moment his car smashed into mine my lower spine was done for. Ripped to shreds. They said I was lucky they didn't have to amputate. This is being lucky? "Give me permission to help you. To change your life. Technology has come a long way. You would be amazed at the things I can do." It wasn't fair. The other driver chose to drink until his vision was blurry. He chose to get behind the wheel and drive under the influence and over the speed limit. Why was I punished? Why did he get to walk away with only a concussion while my life was shot to hell? It wasn't fair. "You sign that dotted line there and I swear to you that you will walk again. In fact, you'll do more than just walk." My life had just started, I had just turned 22. I needed my legs back. I needed to get out of this damned chair. "Thank you. Thank you for this chance. You won't regret this, [Name], I promise."

It's funny how one night can change your life. As a college student, the only thing you really ever worried about was passing your classes, keeping in touch with your friends, if your boyfriend was cheating on you, and when the next racial slur was going to be thrown at you for being Al Bhed. You never expected to get caught up in anything bigger than that, but in one night that all changed. Death clawed its way into your life. A girl was murdered in cold blood in the bathroom, a girl you would have every reason to hate, and all fingers pointed at you. But you couldn't have done something like that, right? So then...who?

"Daddy... Are we the bad guys?" [Name] [Surname] never heard the answer to that question. Maybe her father had answered, in that split second before he was shot in the head. And watching the news the next day, [Name] knew: She was a bad guy. For a good reason. And those good guys the news was praising? The Avengers, SHIELD, the Fantastic Four and everyone else? They were the ones who needed to be taken down. So, yes. [Name] [Surname] is a bad guy. The best bad guy of all.
