Cassiopeia Black is the youngest child born into the proud pure-blood family. From a young age, there are a lot of expectations placed on her, as well as her older brothers; Sirius and Regulus. But when Cassie fails to display any magical ability, her parents become concerned, and push her to great extremes to try and force magic out of her. When she fails to recieve a Hogwarts letter on her 11th birthday, her family have to accept that she is a Squib. But there is no room for a Squib in the proud Black family. And Walburga will go to any lengths to remove all imperfections from her perfect family tree.

When her brother doesn't make it through the summer at home and Cassidy is forced to return to Hogwarts without him, she grows closer with her friends, close enough that they might discover her biggest secret.
