Almost a year after being placed with the Halstead's Maria Halstead ended up getting killed in a gang shooting leading CPS to take custody of Sophia again deeming Mr. Halstead unfit to raise 3 teenagers. Sophia got placed in home after home until she aged out of the foster care system. She Left Chicago and ended up working undercover with the FBI before returning home to Chicago and taking a job with the intelligence unit.
