A mortal and a vampire crosses paths what will be the outcome?

TW: 20-year age gap Sonic is a tired, almost forty-something single mom who smells like sugar, works too much, and really did not plan on developing a crush on someone who keeps "coincidentally" showing up wherever he works. Shadow is a twenty-year-old, quiet med student, and absolutely down bad for the curvy hedgehog who keeps feeding him coffee, cupcakes, and accidental emotional intimacy. Or: Sonic thinks he's too old to be somebody's real obsession... Shadow very much disagrees.

Shadow notices Eggman accessing Professor Genald Robotnik's files and suspects he's up to something. Shadow then informs Sonic about a possible new evil scheme as he's reporting to G.U.N. Naturally, Sonic goes to Eggman's lair to stop whatever he's planning. Sonic ends up interrupting Eggman during an experiment which results in an explosion. Everyone seems to be okay, but the explosion caused a mutation in the RNA-DNA transcription process in Sonic.

Shadow is immortal. Out of all the things he hides, he doesn't ever try to hide that. Many people don't realize this is the reason he refuses to make friends, which is why Rouge and Omega are oddities. Hell, he's even starting to regret ever getting attached.
