He got up from the very soft bed where he had been lying. Once seated on the mattress, his gaze fell on a mirror a little further away. His reflection was strange: his usual black hair had turned red, all his muscles seemed to have melted away, and his skin was as pale as a sheet. This sight reminded him of the description of one of the characters in a novel he had read not long ago. Yes, he had become Cale Henituse, an side villain and a character in the novel "The Birth of a Hero." He got up from the very soft bed he was lying on. Once seated on the mattress, his gaze fell on a mirror a little further away.He ran his hand through his hair and ruffled it. Before looking up at the white ceiling with weariness, why always him? Wasn't his life hard enough already? He had barely found a semblance of normality on earth. None of them asked to be there, and Sonic never asked for them, but here they are- forming a family that cares for each other more than the members themselves like to admit. Expect bickering, arguments, trauma, upbringings, failures, chaos, and most of all, the unexpected. This is Sonic's head after all! What could possibly go wrong when you're inside this impulsive and reckless hero's body? Well...

When the rest of team Voltron leave Lance alone with Coran for 2 months because he apparently doesn't qualify for the mission or whatever, Lance ends up spending more time with the red lion and the 10,000-year-old alien that's staying with him. Coran, also left behind, grows closer to Lance and both share some skeletons in the closet. For Lance, he's hiding something big, preferably not revealed to the rest of the team. And for Coran, let's just say his life isn't all smiles and happiness. When the rest of the team comes back, they are quite surprised to find out the resident goofball and the mechanic have become...closer, and they are hiding something. Can the team find out what the two were hiding? Did Lance gain any perks from bonding with his lion, which the rest of the team doesn't seem interested in? And what are the adoption laws in Outerspace? - Altean Lance AU! Don't like don't read, dw though it's not what this fic revolves around.
