This is an AU of Emma and Sadie combined, so if you've read the other books, good for you. If not, that's okay too. If you would like to read the others, the ones by @xoxAnnee are "Emma: Legend of the Darkstalker" and "Emma: The Glow Within"; the one by @Ultimate_Dreamer7 is "My Choice". Sadie, otherwise known as the Nightrider, has been on her own since her parents died when she was 10 and does not appreciate the attention she gets from Emma, otherwise known as the Darkstalker. However, despite everything, the two grow close, trusting each other with their secrets and their lives. When Sadie's uncle learns she survived the fire that killed her parents 11 years ago, he hunts her down and demands she steal Berk's Book of Dragons in exchange for her freedom. Sadie agrees and with the help of her new friend, sets out to do exactly that. But as they begin to get to know Berk's chief, they begin to wonder if it's worth it and whether or not they might have found a place to call home.

Prior to the rewrite, the story will first take place when Valka and Hiccup were captured, and Stoick picking himself up. For now it's their adventures we'll look into before Hiccup takes the wheel.

I was abandoned when I was a baby, not that I can blame them... There are even legends about me that Vikings tell for ghost stories, or if they want to scare their kids into staying inside. They call me a monster. And they're right.
