Vic Fuentes is the best wizard of his time. There's not a spell he can't conjure or a potion he can't brew. In fact, there's almost nothing that he can't fix with a little bit of magic. Almost. Vic Fuentes can't kill his oldest enemy, Kellin Quinn. Throughout the last century everywhere he's hidden, Kellin has shown up around the corner. But Vic's finally had enough and will go to the most extreme lengths in order to get the job done. Plagued by the nightmares of his past, Vic has found difficulty in finding a purpose in life. He's not sure if he really resents Kellin or if he resents himself for what has happened to their old friends. More importantly: he doesn't care. Well, that's what he's telling himself anyways. But Vic can't help the nagging voice in the back of his head that's wondering if he really wants to go through with this. Because at one point he and Kellin had been best friends, hadn't they? What the fuck had happened to them a century ago that stopped that?

"Through the Looking-Glass, and What Alice Found There" is the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The themes and settings of Through the Looking-Glass make it a kind of mirror image of Wonderland: the first book begins outdoors, in the warm month of May (4 May), uses frequent changes in size as a plot device, and draws on the imagery of playing cards; the second opens indoors on a snowy, wintry night exactly six months later, on 4 November (the day before Guy Fawkes Night), uses frequent changes in time and spatial directions as a plot device, and draws on the imagery of chess.

Gerard is a talented magician, responsible for much of the success of the famous Envision Destiny cruise ship. He's also one of those people. You know, one of those people who just seem to take up all the space they come across with their arrogance and confidence. You wouldn't wanna touch their personality with a 10-foot pole, but still people admire them. That is beyond Frank. Working behind the cruise ship bars and seeing Gerard pretty much every day, he can't understand what's so great about him. Besides, everybody else doesn't have to deal with his snide remarks and rude comments. Because if there's one thing Gerard seems to love, it's the act of constantly pestering Frank. "He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man." When notorious pirate (and total asshole) Gerard Way snatches young, innocent Frank Iero from his tidy, planned-out life and deposits him on the infamous pirate ship, The Black Freighter, he is immersed in a world of deception, violence and sin. The thing is, though, he knows from the start that it won't be the fighting that destroys him-- it will be the loathing he and Gerard feel for each other that will tear him apart in the end.
