Light gets chained to L, because of L's suspicion of him being Kira. In those days Light gets a better perspective of his inner feelings and emotions. Thru that L and Light start getting closer to each other and discover sides of each other, that they never knew they had.

It's not easy to be different, especially when everyone's expectations of you are too high to bear. Light Yagami knows this all too well. He has spent his whole life trying to be perfect in his parents' eyes by slowly wearing himself down, but there comes a point where he can't bear to tell any more lies.
