IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE STARTING ❤️ This story is currently marked Complete, but please note that the latter half of the story is a temporary/current version. After my exams, I will be rewriting the second half of the story, including the redemption arc, because I feel that some emotions, character development and the deeper message I wanted to convey were not expressed strongly enough through my writing. The current version will remain available for now, so new readers are welcome to read it as it is. ❤️ The rewritten version will have stronger emotional depth, more developed character growth, and a more gradual and clearly earned redemption, so that the storyline and its intended message are conveyed better. Please keep this in mind before starting the story. ❤️ Thank you for reading and supporting my work. 🫶🏻 .................. For six years, Anushree Shekhawat endured hatred, humiliation, and accusations she never deserved-all for the sake of her son. This is my very first completed Wattpad story 😭☝️ so I know there are loopholes, plot holes, and some scenes that don't connect as smoothly as they should. I had some major gaps while writing it, which affected the flow and continuity. I'm currently working on editing and fixing those parts, so please be a little considerate and patient with the story. 👾 . . . . . 𝑺𝒂𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑿 𝑺𝒉𝒂𝒂𝒏 "𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒓 𝒉𝒐 𝒔𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒖𝒋𝒉𝒎𝒆𝒊𝒏 𝒈𝒉𝒂𝒓 𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒐 𝒂𝒑𝒏𝒂? 𝑴𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒔𝒂𝒕𝒉?" . . . . . A wedding meant for others. A marriage neither of them chose. A mistake that changed everything. Saher Kapoor never imagined walking down the aisle, especially not as a last-minute replacement for a bride who had vanished. Shaan Malhotra never expected to be forced into marriage, let alone with a stranger standing in place of his brother's bride. Yet, under the weight of family expectations and societal pressure, they are bound together-two people who were never meant to be. What starts as a reluctant union soon unravels secrets buried deep. Saher's past refuses to stay hidden, and Shaan's world is not as perfect as it seems. When love starts creeping into the cracks of their so-called mistake, ghosts of their pasts rise to tear them apart. But was this truly a mistake? Or was it destiny all along? 𓂃˖˳·˖ ִֶָ ⋆ 𓆰𓆪 ⋆ ִֶָ˖·˳˖𓂃 ִֶָ TROPES Accidental Marriage Slow Burn Romance Grumpy X Sweet She fell first but he fell harder Age Gap (7 years) Protective Male Lead Billionaire Romance Social Activist X CEO 'My Wife' Each other's first Found Family 𓂃˖˳·˖ ִֶָ ⋆ 𓆰𓆪 ⋆ ִֶָ˖·˳˖𓂃 ִֶָ

This story revolves around Dev and Niharika. Niharika has spent years dedicating herself entirely to her husband, his family, and fixing broken relationships within his home. However, Dev is completely consumed by his professional work life, business networking, and climbing the corporate ladder, leaving her feeling utterly undervalued and invisible. Over time, the spark completely fades into cold routine until the cracks become impossible for the families to ignore.

She wasn't supposed to be in his life. He wasn't supposed to care. Hiding from a dark past that nearly destroyed her, she ends up in the most unexpected place living secretly in the bedroom of a stranger, hidden from his family, her name erased from the world outside. He gives her shelter without questions. What begins as a quiet coexistence grows into something unspoken. She's hiding in his room. He's hiding his feelings. And outside their stolen peace, the storm is closing in. Just when she begins to believe in safety, the truth catches up and nothing is what it seems. Now, with love blooming in the shadows and danger pressing at the door, she must make an impossible choice: run before he gets hurt, or stay and risk losing him forever. _________ A twisted smile spread across his face as he leaned in closer, his hot, alcohol-laced breath over her. He pressed his nose to her neck, inhaling deeply before pulling back slightly to growl in her ear, "You can't run away anymore." he slurred, his voice a sinister whisper. His eyes bore into hers with a mix of anger and possessiveness that made her blood run cold. Her mind raced, desperately trying to think of a way to escape. "Let me go!" she cried, her voice trembling. She tried to pull away, but he only tightened his grip, his other hand moving to her waist to hold her closer. "You're mine," he growled, his lips curling into a cruel smile. "And no one gets to take what's mine, not even your bastard lover".
