MISCHIEF, MISTAKE AND SILENCE Abhinav Sharma is the kind of boy who can turn a punishment into a performance, a classroom into a stage, and an ordinary school day into complete chaos. Loud, mischievous, and impossible to ignore, he lives surrounded by laughter, cricket, and the friends who have been beside him since childhood. Then Meera arrives. Quiet, reserved, and almost impossible to read, she is everything Abhinav isn't. What begins with an unwanted seat beside the new girl slowly becomes an unlikely friendship, built through stolen parathas, ridiculous mistakes, handwritten notes, rainy afternoons, and a secret place beneath an old banyan tree. But childhood doesn't stay still forever. As friendships change, people leave, dreams grow bigger, and life delivers losses no joke can erase, Abhinav must discover what remains when the laughter that once defined him begins to disappear. Mischief, Mistake and Silence is a coming-of-age story about childhood innocence, friendship, first feelings, separation, grief, and growing up, and about the people whose presence continues to shape us long after they are gone.

Kalyani × Aayansh #5 in songs out of 38k -29/11/2025 I pinned him against the wall, my breath catching at the nearness. His shoulders tensed under my hands, his face turned away as if looking at me would burn him. "Suniye..." My whisper barely broke the silence. He didn't move. I tugged his collar, trying to pull him down, but his height mocked me." He Shivji... inko itna lamba kyun banaya aapne?" A shaky laugh almost escaped, but the ache in my chest smothered it. "Wait here." My voice was low, steady only on the surface. I darted to the dressing table, grabbed the small stool, and dropped it in front of him with a soft thud. Climbing up, I steadied myself by resting my palms on his rigid shoulders. Now, we were finally eye to eye. "Now we can talk," I murmured. "Tell me... what were you saying? I'm all ears." Still, he refused to look at me. His silence cut deeper than anger. Something inside me cracked. I touched his chin gently, lifting it with my fingers until his eyes met mine. "Don't do this," I said, voice trembling despite myself. "You know I can't bear your ignorance, aayansh." His gaze locked with mine, and the world shrank into the space between us. His eyes burned-anger, pain, something unspoken flickering behind the fire. "I won't accept this marriage," he said, voice rough. "You can't force me to accept it... to accept you. Not after everything you did." My breath caught. I stepped closer, leaving barely an inch of space, enough to feel his warmth seep into me. His lashes fluttered as if the closeness unnerved him. He dropped his eyes, his words breaking apart in a stutter. "I-It's not r-right. I... don't deserve you. You don't even know me completely." And then I saw it- His ears. Scarlet red. A soft, involuntary smile touched my lips. His body screamed resistance, but his heart... oh, his heart was betraying him. ______________________________ Yours Kalyani - by @mahitraa4
