There are a group of guardians known as Cardinal Angels- these are the only winged people in all of the Cardinal Directions. There are two to three in each direction. There are two in Cardinal East, one in Cardinal South, one in Cardinal West, and two in Cardinal North- though North is a special case, in that the male Cardinal Angel is the son of the female.
