I clawed at my face, trying to remove the piece of technology. "Where did it go?" I pulled at my skin, trying to feel something, anything that was there, but nothing. Just skin. "Just keep pulling at it, it always works, mousie," Jax said, patting my cheek. I glared up at him. "Shut the @$&+ up." ~•~•~ The first thing I remembered when I came here was falling. Then I come here and I'm still falling. I bought some VR headset, put it on, and it cost me my future. Now, I'm stuck with people who aren't exactly people, an teeth-and-eyeball AI, and some annoying periwinkle rabbit. I've become a little muse of a mouse, supposed to be some sort of artistic inspiration. Yeah, right. But music is my safe space, and I was sent here with a flute and a purpose: to bring sound to the circus. I can either become the conductor or let people see me as nothing more than a statue in some museum.
