Lukas Bondevik is a wizard, living in the human world. The humans accept him as one of their own, and he is considered the local healer. Even though they don't try to burn him at the stake, the humans are still wary of him. It's a lonely life, and soon Lukas longs for a companion of his own... that's when he meets Mat...
